  • ST and SC Students: Full tuition fee reimbursement, maintenance allowance, book allowance, and additional financial assistance for special courses.
  • OBC Students: Partial tuition fee reimbursement, along with maintenance allowance.

The amount varies depending on the course, institution, and type of accommodation (hostel or day scholar).


2. Pre-Matric Scholarship for ST, SC, and OBC Students

This scholarship is designed for students studying in Class 9 and Class 10 to help them continue their education without financial strain.

Eligibility:

  • The applicant must belong to the ST, SC, or OBC category.
  • The annual family income should not exceed ₹2.50 lakh for SC and ST students, and ₹1 lakh for OBC students.
  • The student must be a resident of Chhattisgarh and enrolled in a recognized school.

Scholarship Benefits:

  • Financial assistance for school fees, study materials, and uniforms.
  • Maintenance allowance to cover basic living expenses.

3. Rajiv Gandhi Shiksha Assistance Scheme

This scheme is specifically for ST students in Chhattisgarh to provide financial aid for higher education.

Eligibility:

  • The applicant must belong to the ST category.
  • The student must be enrolled in a recognized institution for higher education.
  • Preference is given to students studying professional and technical courses like engineering, medical, law, and management.

Scholarship Benefits:

  • Full or partial tuition fee reimbursement.
  • Additional financial assistance for study materials, books, and living expenses.

4. Merit Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST/OBC Students

This scholarship is offered to meritorious students belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories who excel in their academics.

Eligibility:

  • Students must belong to SC, ST, or OBC categories.
  • They must score a minimum percentage (usually 60% or higher) in their previous qualifying exam.
  • The student must be enrolled in a recognized school, college, or university.

  • Financial assistance ranging from ₹1,000 to ₹3,000 per year, depending on the student’s academic performance and level of education.

5. Other Special Scholarships and Schemes:

The Chhattisgarh government also provides additional scholarships and incentives for students in special categories or those enrolled in specific professional courses:

  • Free education for ST, SC, and OBC girls: Scholarships to cover all educational expenses for girls in these categories to encourage female education.
